In these hot times we always sleep with the tower fan on in the bedroom. The downside, however, is that that thing makes a terrible noise. For that reason, we had already bought earplugs made of foam a few weeks ago. These were also comfortable and suppressed the noise so that we could sleep well. The only drawback is that they are not reusable.
So I did a bit of searching on the internet and came across these SleepDeep earplugs. What really appealed to me, and made me want to buy them, was that they can be reused up to 100x.
Once arrived and opened I only started to squeeze it a little. "They are very small" crossed my mind. "What if they get stuck in my ear canal while sleeping". I scared myself a little bit. I am a side sleeper so I really sleep with one ear on my pillow. I was terrified they got stuck in my ear...
Anyway. I placed this order for a reason. I had to and would at least try them. Sausage-cheese scenario, I should call the doctor.
The first night I put them in my ear and I was pleasantly surprised. I read quite a few negative reviews that they wouldn't block sounds. However, they block exactly the same as my disposable foam caps. So I don't have to throw this one away! And no, they don't 100% block all sound. Only the sound is no longer disturbing. You can still hear it very softly in the background. Soft enough to sleep through the night! Which I can't do without earplugs.
And the next morning I woke up well rested. No pain in my ears and no earplug stuck deep in my ear. They were still exactly as I put them in the night before. I had them out again within 1 second. Don't pull the tab, just grip the cap with my fingers and gently pry it off to avoid a vacuum feeling.
Also very convenient that it comes with a small box where you can store them neatly. Cleaning is also easily done under the tap. Let it dry for a while and then put it back in the box.
TLDR: slept great, no pain (side sleeper), not stuck in my ear and blocks sound just like foam earplugs do. At least the sound of our tower fan.
Even when it's winter and the upstairs neighbors are arguing, I'm glad I have these caps in my nightstand. Ideal also for travel. I can do nothing but recommend this product.
