Thanks to the cast iron material, the heat is evenly distributed over the pan. Cast iron is also sustainable. This means the pan can last years if you maintain it properly. The lid fully covers the pan, so moisture stays inside. That's nice, because the meat remains nice and tender that way. You can even use the Dutch oven on all heat sources and in the oven up to 260°C. Thanks to the large handles, you can safely move the pan to the dining table with oven mitts. After use, you clean the pan by hand.
