This doorbell has 2 cameras, so you don't miss a single thing and can see exactly who and what's at your door.
The doorbell recognizes acquaintances, strangers, pets, and packages, and you don't need a subscription for that.
Thanks to the HomeBase 3, your doorbell has an extra stable internet connection.
For the most stable connection, connect the HomeBase to your router with an Ethernet cable.
You need a good WiFi signal where you mount the doorbell.
Product description
If you connect the Eufy Video Doorbell Dual 2 Pro to the HomeBase 3, you get an extra smart doorbell with 2 cameras. There's 1 pointed upwards and 1 pointed downwards. As a result, the camera doesn't have blind spots and you can see people at your door from top to bottom. In addition, the bottom camera recognizes packages on your doorstep. The HomeBase 3 is a lot smarter than the standard HomeBase 2. It recognizes people, for example. The connection is also much more stable. The Eufy Doorbell 2 Pro also has 2 sensors to detect people. An infrared sensor that detects people based on body temperature and a radar that scans motion. Thanks to the included HomeBase 3, your doorbell is constantly connected to the internet. You can expand the storage with a hard drive.
Recommended in all areas, except for response speed on 4G.

Picture & sound fantastic
Extensive options in the app
connection speed too slow
More and more often you order something online. Fortunately, with the corona behind us, working from home has also been significantly reduced. That's why for some time now the Netatmo doorbell is FULL of bugs. He had to go. We've been fully satisfied with Eufy's surveillance cams for some time, so that's why we tested their doorbell as well.
Where you can pair the cameras to the homebase with two clicks, I needed 4 attempts at the doorbell. I did exactly the same, but with the fourth it was successful at first. Mine was a second choice, maybe some bits from the previous owner were still flying around? In any case, the connection is now super stable.
Picture and sound quality are superb. Whether the sun is directly in the camera, or it is pitch dark, you will still be able to recognize your visitor perfectly. With the dual camera function, you essentially have it completely in view.
Packet detection also works fine. If the camera somehow recognizes a box, you will be notified.
A lot has been written on the web about whether or not these doorbells are HomeKit compatible. Once and for all: you can connect the Eufy cameras with Apple HomeKit without any problems, NOT the doorbell. Strange but true.
However, if you have HomeBridge running, there are some plugins that can do that. The setup is done in 1-2-3 and voilà , you have a perfectly working doorbell in HomeKit.
Only pay attention to the settings if you use the doorbell on battery (yes, that works too), what if you have HomeKitSecureVideo active, or refresh the image every minute, the battery will be empty in no time. Here it receives a constant 24V AC voltage from the doorbell transformer.
A nice addition: when you ring the bell, a (can be switched off) gong sounds on the homebase. It is centrally located on the ground floor and is sufficiently loud. An extra bell is therefore not necessary if you do not have a smartphone in your pocket at home.
Now the big downside of apparently every video doorbell: it takes forever before you have a conversation with the visitor.
People ring the doorbell and at home on WiFi there is a connection within ten seconds. Once on 4G, it quickly takes half a minute and longer.
The HomeBase is ten meters from the bell. There is a glass and a wooden door as an obstacle. On the other side of the wall is the WiFi access point. The app shows full WiFi signal strength, so it won't be that. A OneUp internet subscription with Telenet. Full gigabit download and the full 40 megabit upload according to Speedtest. So it won't be.
Netatmo was also guilty of this.
An important reason to get rid of the Netatmo was just that. Yet we keep the Eufy, because you can automatically play a self-recorded message between certain hours.
Since being able to answer quickly is mainly for those parcel carriers, the message can serve this purpose. Actually even better; being at work you often can't answer right away.
One last drawback: As an AppleWatch user, you just get to hear a "pong" when the doorbell rings. A very quick glance at the watch reveals the Eufy emblem. I catch myself not reading the text and think it's a motion alert from the cameras. One might as well have rang the bell.
On the iPhone you can choose a different signal when ringing the bell. Not on the Watch. It's about time Apple did something about it.

A good bell with some teething problems
See who is at the door from a distance
Two cameras
Face recognition
Does not charge sufficiently with standard bell transformer
Quality of the image is good enough to be able to see who is at the door. Because it has facial recognition and human recognition, you are less likely to receive a false report.
Because there are 2 cameras on it, the bell consumes a lot of power, so that the bell runs empty and cannot be recharged sufficiently with a transformer of 8VA. A minimum of 40VA is recommended, but standard bell transformers in the Netherlands are not that heavy.
There is no support for HomeKit and Google Assistant is flawed. If motion is detected, the call button will not work. Hopefully this is a software issue and will be resolved later.
Since amazon is the sales partner of eufy, you will not receive support if you cannot prove that you have bought from amazon. As a result, you can only get support via coolblue and not on the eufy/anker support forums.
If you view the live camera images, it regularly freezes when you use the split view. Hopefully also a software problem that will be solved soon.
As long as the bugs don't show up, a good and fine bell.

Mail deliverers are already gone before the app connects
Easy to install. Although something didn't fit and we had to crop it.
There is such a delay in the line that if you pick up and talk they are already gone. This defeats the purpose of this product in my opinion
We got this product because we are often not at home for the packages and could tell them where to put it, but before the app is opened and you can record, they are already gone. For one patient, ringing the doorbell works, but the conversation is so delayed that you mix up half sentences and it doesn't work well either.
