How do you place the water filter in your De'Longhi PrimaDonna?
In this article, we'll show you how to install the water filter in your De'Longhi PrimaDonna. By placing a water filter, you prevent limescale in the pipes of the coffee machine. That's important, because you can prevent defects and extend the lifespan of your device. To ensure proper operation, replace the water filter every 2 months. The De'Longhi water filter fits best in your De'Longhi coffee machine.

You need:

- 500ml container
How often should you replace the water filter?

You replace your water filter every 2 months, or when you coffee machine notifies you. That always depends on the hardness of your tap water, and how many cups of coffee you drink per day.
Step 1: prepare the water filter
- Press the button with the cogwheel to go to the menu.
- Navigate to 'Water filter'.
- Choose 'Replace water filter' and press 'OK'.
- Take the water tank out of the machine and remove the old water filter.
- Unbox the new water filter and turn the round disc on the water filter to 2 months ahead. Press 'Next'.
- Hold the water filter under the faucet until the water comes out of the opening sideways. Press 'Next'.
- Fill the water tank with water up to halfway.
- Place the water filter into the tank and submerge it completely for about 10 seconds so air bubbles escape. Press 'Next'.
- Place the water filter into the designated spot and press it firmly.
- Close the water tank with the lid and place the water tank back into the machine.
Step 2: install the water filter
- Place a container of at least 500ml under the hot water outlet and press 'OK' to start the rinse.
- The machine will now rinse shortly.
- Remove the container once the coffee machine is done rinsing.
- Empty the container.
- The water filter has now been installed successfully.
