How do you clean the milk reservoir of your De'Longhi PrimaDonna?

In this article, we'll explain how to clean the milk system of your De’Longhi PrimaDonna ECAM 610.75.MB and ECAM 650.85.MS. By cleaning the milk system after each preparation, you can remove milk rests. That way, you keep the milk system clean and prevent bacteria from getting into the system. Let separate parts soak in De'Longhi EcoMultiClean once every 7 days for the cleanest result.

Get started with cleaning the milk system

We'll explain how to clean the milk system of your De'Longhi PrimaDonna step by step. We'll go through these steps with you:

  • Step 1. Disassemble all parts and rinse them
  • Step 2. Dry the parts and reassemble them

You need:

  • De'Longhi milk cleaner or mild dish soap

Clean the milk system after each preparation. You do this by rinsing all parts under the faucet. We recommend you to clean the milk system with De'Longhi EcoMultiClean milk cleaner once per week. With the help of the milk cleaner, you can remove all the milk rests from the milk system.

Step 1: remove all parts

Disassemble all parts
  1. Remove the milk reservoir from the machine and take off the lid.
  2. Take off the milk spout and milk intake tube.
  3. Twist the foam control button to the right to 'Insert' and remove the button.
  4. Wash all separate parts with hot water and a mild dish soap. Or, clean all parts in the upper rack of the dishwasher.
  5. When you're using the De'Longhi milk cleaner, you can submerge all parts in lukewarm water mixed with one part of milk cleaner for a couple of minutes.
  6. Remove the caked-on milk rests with a toothpick or needle.
  7. Check if the milk spout and milk intake tube don't have any milk rests anymore.

Step 2: complete the clean

Complete the cleaning
  1. Dry all parts with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Attach the button and line out the arrow on the milk system with the text 'insert'.
  3. Place the milk spout and milk intake tube back.
  4. Place the lid on the milk reservoir.
  5. Click the milk reservoir back onto the machine.
  6. You're not done with cleaning the milk system.
