Second Chance Bose SoundLink Micro Black

Arrived yesterday and immediately tested. The clear simple user manual asked to download the Bose Connect app. Very easy. This Soundlink Micro is very sturdy. After connecting to the Bose Connect app (which it did instantly), I was ready for my first test. A two hour evening walk on the beach. I attached it to my belt, a little bit hidden with my sweater over it. I had set up Spotify and a Mozart violin concerto. My first impression was ... this can't be. Such a small speaker and such a big sound. I don't mean that it can play loudly, but just has a nice sound. High, medium and low. Sorry, but I'm still fascinated by that, is it because of my age (sixty years old) I don't know. So I actually come from the stone age. I am still amazed by the evolution. During the walk, with the volume on half, it was really enjoyable. Fortunately there was no one on the beach. When I put on the new OMD song "One More Time" the seagulls suddenly started flying, they were startled by the volume. Get a little quieter. The sound was always beautiful for such a small speaker.
I do have a small reservation with the confirmation. When I took off my shoes after my walk and the speaker was still hanging on my belt, it suddenly fell off. The attachment had come loose due to bending. I'll keep that in mind next time. So conclusion in short 10/10. I would also like to thank Coolblue for the super fast delivery.
Still quick to say that the battery was still at 80 percent after a walk of two hours.

A waterproof speaker with a compact size but still good sound? Bose proves once again that they can do it! With a super sound and also an easy attachment to take it everywhere, this must be the perfect speaker.

As soon as I received it I noticed how small the speaker is, the packaging is already minuscule, and with its dimensions of 10 by 10 it is a nice square music player. When I took it out of the packaging, I actually wanted to listen to its performance right away, unfortunately it is not charged by default and I had to wait 2 hours before it was completely 100% full.
I turned it on right away and everything is quickly arranged via the simple app, you can start listening to music right away. I was immediately surprised by the quality, because what a power comes from such a small device! Of course I immediately listened to my entire Spotify list and I noticed the following: The sound sounds very good with firm lows and clear highs, but as soon as you turn the device a little louder in terms of volume, it sounds slightly less, so the small size has unfortunately also a disadvantage. The sound does not decrease very much in quality, but enough to be noticeable.

The operation is very simple, there are an on/off button and a Bluetooth button on the top. The on/off button switches the speaker on and off, the Bluetooth button ensures a new connection with a Bluetooth device with a long press, you can also remove other phones from its memory so that it does not accidentally connect to the wrong device.

The battery life was a surprise to me, Bose advertises a battery life of 6 hours which is quite fine, but it easily lasts much longer with me! Recently I was able to listen to music for more than 8 hours at an average sound level. If you start the speaker with the on/off button, you will hear how much battery percentage is left and which phones are connected.

To conveniently take the Soundlink Micro with you everywhere, a special tear-resistant strap is mounted on it, so you can easily attach it to your backpack, scooter or bicycle. But you can also click it just as easily around your belt so that it can also come in handy while walking, or on your shower head so that you can also listen while showering, the possibilities are (almost) endless. The strap has a kind of hook at the end which you have to place on the other side of the speaker, it sometimes comes off accidentally because the hook is quite small. The band is also fairly stretchable, so you can easily attach it to your bicycle handlebars to enjoy your music on the go.

Ultimately: Compact speaker with impressive sound quality, which is also very easy to carry.
