Second Chance Philips Airfryer XXL Connected HD9880/90 + Meat Thermometer

We have been using an airfryer XL for years. When it died, we didn't hesitate for a second to purchase a new model. I write this review mainly in comparison to the original XL airfryer, for those who also have the choice to retire the old model.
The good news: the only drawback we have found so far after the switch is that the drawer clicks out a little less smoothly. The entire construction feels a bit less sturdy, but it is still a well-built product.
The better news:
- The first thing I noticed is the lack of sound. Whisper quiet? No, but it is absolutely not disturbing.
- There are nice program options. We mainly use manual cooking, but the options are nice if you don't have a good sense of cooking or want some inspiration. A soft-boiled egg? You can also easily set this while half asleep before your cup of coffee.
- You can choose from 2 fan settings, great if you don't want your slice of cheese on your burger to blow away
- The included food thermometer makes the control even greater, great for pieces of meat where you want precise insight into the cooking
- Also invest in a suitable baking tin/silicone baking tin, for endless more possibilities and easier cleaning

With ''proper'' use, this airfryer replaces a lot of equipment and gives even better results. Crispier than in the oven, more control over the temperature than the stove, more space than a sandwich maker or toaster.
We hope that it will last another good number of years, but we are sure that we will use it to its full potential.

You can even choose from pre-programmed cooking programs for all kinds of dishes. the Airfryer is really user-friendly. And the nice thing is that you can connect it to your smartphone via an app. This way you can operate the Airfryer remotely and you have access to many recipes and cooking settings. The performance of the Airfryer is really impressive. With the Rapid Air technology you can fry, bake, grill and roast all kinds of dishes with little oil. The food will be nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, without any fat. And you can prepare enough food for your whole family in it. It is a handy and versatile device that produces delicious and healthy meals. If you are looking for a good air fryer, this is definitely recommended! Also super easy to keep clean.
