From the outside of the package, the blender seems small. But when you take it out of the package, you see the true size. You get 3 cups of different sizes. The first day I made a smoothie with milk, ice, banana and kiwi. It was delicious. The different cups allowed me to make different smoothies without having to wash them first. I was also very happy and surprised that the blender can also handle ice. Cleaning was also a breeze by putting everything (with the dishwasher logo on it) in the dishwasher.

Recommended for "large" families

I wanted to make ice cream from frozen fruit. This is not the right device for that. Maybe with more liquid (for smoothie) it would be fine, but I didn't want it for that.

Tried frozen red fruit. Part does not reach the blades automatically. Shaking didn't help enough. Don't stir either. Removed the mixed part to allow the rest of the fruit to blend. So the so-called 'ProBlend Plus' effect is not noticeable.
I thought the result was quite rough.
The device itself feels very good, but is not suitable for what I wanted with it.

There is no button on it. The blender starts by pressing the cup down. That in itself works quite well.
But if you turn the cup slightly, it will stick and continue to blend. That is also intended.
But I personally don't think it's really safe. I haven't tried to see if it turns off on its own.

Sometimes the device does not respond when you press the cup. No idea what caused that.

I had the opportunity to test the Philips 5000 blender for a number of weeks and I am very satisfied with the result! I love smoothies and I make these with frozen fruit. The blender can grind this well and turn it into a smooth smoothie. The handy travel lids are perfect for me because I like to take a smoothie to work. Cleaning is very easy. The parts can be detached so you can quickly clean it by hand or in the dishwasher. I also really like the design. It fits neatly in my kitchen and doesn't take up much space. I'm happy with it!
