Second Chance Sony ULT Field 7 Black

The Sony ULT Field 7 produces powerful sound, making it easy to fill an entire room with music. The 2 bass settings provide extra deep bass tones. The lighting is not that bright, so it doesn't light up the room.

ULT button
With the ULT button on the speaker I can choose from 2 different modes. The Deep Bass provides stronger bass tones, so I can really hear the beat. When I turn on the Attack Bass, I also hear a powerful bass and the sound is louder. The loud sound makes the sound a bit less full, especially the vocals. That's why I prefer to listen in the Deep Bass mode. Here the bass, mid and high tones are in balance. I'm sorry that the music stops briefly and a sound effect plays when I press the ULT button.

Subtle lighting
There are light rings on the sides of the speaker that emit different colors of light. The lights move to the beat of the music. In the Sony Music Center app I can adjust the colors and movements or turn off the lights. When the speaker is horizontal I cannot see the lights from the front. This is due to the rubber ends in front of it. The lights are clearly visible when I place it vertically and see the light ring. The light is not super bright, so it does not illuminate the entire room.

Powerful sound
The speaker produces powerful sound. If I turn the volume up to 1/3, it already sounds loud. I think the sound sounds fuller if I place the speaker in the corner of the room. The walls reflect the sound into the room, making it sound fuller. Otherwise I have the impression that the music disappears into space. I personalize the sound in the Sony Music Center app. I can adjust 7 different pitches so I can set the balance I want. I like deep bass and clear vocals. I therefore accentuate the lowest and highest tones.

Great to take with you
There are handles on the sides that I use to lift the speaker. I can easily carry the speaker with 2 hands. It is more difficult with one hand, because the weight is not distributed evenly.

The box gives a great sound especially with the ULT function, it fills the room and sounds very clear. If you press the ULT button a second time, an even heavier sound comes out of the box, as if you were at a live concert. The Bluetooth connection was made very quickly, even with devices where I often had problems, the connection was very fast. You can download the app in which you get more options and information about the box, it also indicates how full the battery is, you can control the light show that plays along with the music in the ULT function, you can manage connections (2 connections via Bluetooth at a time) and you can extensively adjust the sound.
The box is quite large at 51 x 22 cm and approximately 6 kilos, but easy to lift due to the large openings/handles on the sides of the box. The description states that you can use the box in portrait or landscape orientation, but if you want to turn on the bass (ULT), it produces a much nicer sound when lying down.
The battery lasts a very long time, about 30 hours, and is recharged in 15 minutes for 4 hours of music enjoyment.
You can even connect a microphone or guitar to this box, which I think makes it extra fun.

I was able to test this box and am so satisfied with it that I definitely want to buy it myself.

At first I thought the box was smaller than expected, but the sound that came out was not disappointing at all. First use is very simple, Bluetooth and self-explanatory. You have to look for setting options, there is no manual, only a quick start guide, but this is no longer exceptional these days.
Extensive settings via the app, but without this app the box cannot be set as desired, the light effect could have been brighter in my opinion, even though it is also adjustable, multiple boxes can also be linked together if necessary.
All in all, a great box, for home, garden, living room, bedroom use, I won't be taking it to the beach because of the size and weight.
