What are the advantages of a subscription?

A subscription has different advantages. You'll pay a fixed amount per month and rent an energy-efficient appliance that's always working. We'll install it in the desired spot for free. This means we'll repair or replace the appliance within 2 working days if it's broken. You'll also have 30 days of satisfaction guarantee. After 1 year, you can cancel the subscription monthly.

Why does Coolblue have subscriptions?

Coolblue wants to make it easier for customers to rent an energy-efficient product that's always working. That's useful if your old product is broken and you need a new one.

Which products can your lease with a subscription?

We have subscriptions for washing machines, dryers, washer dryer combinations, fridges, dishwashers, and freezers. Click the link below for the assortment.

Do you rent washing machines everywhere in Germany?

We only rent our products in Metropolregion Rhine-Ruhr and Großraum Frankfurt. With our postal code checker on the product page, you can easily check if we're able to deliver to you. You can find more information about our delivery per region on the page below.

Will I be the owner of the appliance?

No, Coolblue remains the legal owner of the product during the subscription period. A subscription isn't a way to pay in installments. After the first 12 months, it's possible to purchase the product. Please contact our customer service when your contract almost expires. That way, we can set up a purchase option for you.

What's the minimum age for a subscription?

You need to be at least 18 for a Coolblue subscription.

Can you have multiple subscriptions at the same time?

You can take out up to 1 subscription per product type. So you can't take out 2 washing machine subscriptions at the same time, but you can take out 1 washing machine and 1 dryer subscription.

Can I take out a subscription for someone else?

No, it's only possible to take out a subscription for yourself.

Can I take out a business subscription?

Currently, we only have subscriptions for individuals.

Do you perform a test?

Yes. Coolblue works with Boniversum to assess the creditworthiness of customers. As soon as you enter your personal information when you order, they're automatically checked. If you pass the test, you can place an order. If your risk score is too high, you'll see a notification that you can't take out a subscription.

What happens with my information after the test?

We don't save the information from the test. We only register that we perform the test. Want to know more? Go to the Terms and Conditions.

Do I get a SCHUFA registration when I take out a subscription?

No, when you enter a contract there won't be a SCHUFA registration on your name.

Is a white goods subscription a kind of payment in installments?

No. A subscription isn't a way to pay in installments. You pay the rent to Coolblue and Coolblue remains the owner of the product for as long as the subscription is running. After 12 months, it's possible to buy the product. Please contact our customer service when your subscription almost expires. That way, we can set up a purchase option for you.

Why is the first monthly amount higher?

The first debit is often higher, because you have to pay for the current and next month. We're happy to explain how this works using an example.

How does the payment for a subscription work?

You first pay one-time startup costs via our website. These costs vary between € 49 and € 199, depending on the product. You then pay a fixed amount every month. After reserving the subscription, you'll receive an email with instructions for a symbolic payment of € 0.10. This step is necessary to save your preference for the monthly payment method. You can choose a credit card (VISA and Mastercard) or PayPal.

Why do you have to pay one-time costs?

This is what you pay to activate your subscription at Coolblue. The amount varies between € 49 and € 199, depending on the product. The product remains property of Coolblue.

Can you also take my old appliance with you?

We'll take your old white goods product with us from its current location. It does need to have a similar size.

Do I have to be home to receive the appliance?

If there's someone to open the door for our delivery drivers, you don't have to be home yourself.

When will my product be delivered?

At checkout, you can select a delivery date and a time slot. We can only guarantee that time slot if you complete the entire order that same day. After your product has been shipped, you'll receive a Track & Trace code with a 1-hour time slot the night before delivery. You'll also receive a phone call 15 minutes before delivery from one of our delivery drivers.

Do you connect my product?

Yes. We install for free, but you have to pay the delivery costs yourself.

What's the minimum term of a subscription?

You always rent the washing machine for a minimum of 12 months. After that, the subscription can be canceled monthly without giving any reason. Coolblue will pick up the product from you for free and process it in an environmentally-friendly manner. It's also possible to buy the washing machine. Please contact our customer service when your subscription almost expires. That way, we can set up a purchase option for you. You can do so via email via the customer service.

Can I transfer my subscription to someone else?

Yes, this is possible. To do this, send an email to kundendienst@coolblue.de with the order number of your subscription. Also provide the following information of the new owner: name, address, date of birth, email address, and phone number. The person who takes over the contract will receive a payment request for € 0.10 within 3 working days to verify the payment details. The transfer will be successful right away after paying this payment request.

What if your product breaks

Contact our customer service if the product breaks. We'll make sure to repair or replace it for free within 2 working days. Did you move outside of Metropolregion Rhine-Ruhr and Großraum Frankfurt? It'll take longer than 2 working days. This means you don't have to worry about the warranty period or repair costs. Contact us via our customer service.

I'm moving within the Coolblue service area, what now?

At this moment, we only rent products in Metropolregion Rhine-Ruhr and Großraum Frankfurt. If you're moving within this region, you'll move your white goods product to your new house yourself. You'll also install it in its new spot. Please provide our customer service with your new address, so we have the right address for your subscription. You can do this via the customer service.

I'm moving outside of the Coolblue service area, what now?

We currently only rent products in Metropolregion Rhine-Ruhr and Großraum Frankfurt. If you're moving outside this area, you can move the product yourself. The service of the subscription does change. We'll make sure your product works again if there's a problem, but we don't do so within 2 working days. Want to cancel the subscription from your new address? Return the product or buy it from us. You can inform us of your new address via the customer service.

Can I buy the product if I cancel the subscription?

Yes, you can buy the product from Coolblue after 12 months. Please contact our customer service when your subscription almost expires. That way, we can set up a purchase option for you. You're not obligated to accept the offer, of course.

What happens to the appliance after I cancel

Coolblue picks up the machine for free and processes it in an environmentally-friendly way. If you live outside of Metropolregion Rhine-Ruhr and Großraum Frankfurt, you have to return the machine to Coolblue yourself.

How do I cancel my subscription

You can easily cancel your subscription after 12 months via our customer service. The notice period is one month. You can also cancel free of charge during the satisfaction guarantee. This period lasts until 30 days after taking out your subscription.
