How do you install Adobe Photoshop or Premiere Elements?
Install Photoshop or Premiere Elements
Both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements come with a download key. You won't receive a CD. In the packaging, you'll find a code you can use to download the software.
- Step 1: redeem the code
- Step 2: download the software
- Step 3: install the software
- Step 4: enter the serial number
- Step 5: save the code
Step 1: redeem the code
If you buy Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements, you receive a download key. You need this 'redemption code' to activate the software. You can do that via the Adobe website (www.adobe.com/go/getserial). Log in with your Adobe account or create a new account if you don't have one yet. After you've logged in, enter the code. The website will turn it into a serial number. Write that number down.
Step 2: download the software
On the Adobe website, you'll see a link next to download the software next to the serial number. The software will now download.
Step 3: install the software
Is the download complete? Click the Photoshop or Premiere icon to install it. The program will ask you to log in with your Adobe account. Then, choose in which language you want to use the software. After that, the installation is done.
Step 4: enter the serial number
After the installation, open the program. You'll see a window with the question which program you want to open. Click 'Photo Editor' to open Photoshop Elements. If you want to open Premiere, choose the 'Video Editor' button. If this is the first time you're going to use the programs, you'll be asked to activate the software. In that window, enter the serial number from step 1. You can now start using the programs.
Step 5: save the code
Save the card with the 'redemption code'. This code allows you to find the serial numbers of your programs online. That's useful if you switch computers and have to install the software again.
