TP-Link Tapo RV30 Max Plus

The past few weeks I was allowed to test the robot vacuum cleaner for Review.nl. Here are my thoughts. Overall, this Tapo looks good and expectations were immediately very high. Unfortunately, it was not what I had hoped and expected. When vacuuming, it does a good job on smooth floors, but when it goes over a rug (low pile), it still leaves quite a lot of dirt behind. Dirt also remains along the edges. Mopping goes quite well. The floor is mopped in its entirety, but it is not really a shining result. This is actually the same with several others. This boy is noisy and that is a shame. It is not that you can comfortably watch TV when the living room is being vacuumed. Internal sound insulation, especially around the collection bin, could have been better. Is it all that bad? No, certainly not, but there is work to be done to improve this product.

Bought this for the upstairs with emptying station so I don't have to empty it myself... however, it only empties after 30 minutes of vacuuming and it doesn't make it to my upstairs. You can't set this either. I have a large Dreame downstairs where you can set all that. The one for upstairs didn't have to be that advanced (expensive). But if the vacuum cleaner doesn't empty itself then I don't see the point of buying one with... it also leaves small pieces on the floor... the only thing that was nice was the choice of voices and so we had to laugh in amusement at the Dutch man's voice that told him what he was going to do... but in the end he also has to do his job so we sent it back.

The Tapo RV30 Max Plus is a very good beginner robot vacuum cleaner. Thanks to the many functions and even a LiDAR sensor, a clear map of the space is created and (large) obstacles are avoided. However, some adjustments are needed to the space because it is not perfectly mapped. The Tapo app can be used to indicate where mopping or vacuuming is not allowed. The Tapo app can also be used to indicate where there is carpet, where the suction power is then increased so that there is also optimal cleaning there. I myself live in an apartment with 2 cats and it is almost daily important that vacuuming is done. With the Tapo RV30 Max Plus that is a piece of cake now. Every day a round is made with vacuuming and every 3/4 days it makes a round with mopping. While vacuuming it is a bit louder than I had hoped, but I can live with that. Emptying the base station is very loud, but that only takes a very short time. This is, for the price, a really good robot vacuum cleaner. For an affordable price, you get a lot of functions back and you can see if this is something for you. Definitely recommended!
