I wasn’t sure if I really needed a wireless headset for my Xbox at first, but now that I’ve been using it for a while, I’m really glad I have one. It’s just so cool not being tied to a cable and you have so much more freedom of movement. Connecting it to the Xbox was really easy, literally plug-and-play. It’s comfortable on my head, even during long sessions, and the sound is really good. You can also adjust the volume, for example turning the game sound down and turning up the voice, which is really handy if you play a lot with friends. I didn’t understand how the microphone worked at first (lol), but you just have to pull it out. My friends can hear me really well and everything sounds nice and clear. You can also tweak things via the app, but there’s one thing I find a bit annoying: you can’t update the headset’s software via the app. For that, you have to connect it to a PC and download a separate app from SteelSeries. A bit of a hassle, but otherwise really great. Oh, and I got to test this headset for free, but I would definitely recommend it.

What I didn’t like, however, is that I have a hard time hearing myself during calls, making it difficult to have a natural conversation, which can be distracting during longer gaming sessions. The design is stylish and fits well with a modern gaming setup. Overall, a solid choice, but personally I found the Arctis 7X to be better in design and easier to connect to.
