Apple MacBook Pro 14 inches (2023) M3 Pro (12-core CPU/18-core GPU)

This MacBook Pro is ideal for professionals who often work in demanding programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop. The model I tested is lightning fast and doesn't lag during heavy operations or when switching between programs. The black color provides a luxurious look, as we have come to expect from Apple. Unfortunately, it does not have an Ethernet port. For this I need my docking station. A new look Apple is introducing this model in a new color: space black. This color is a shade darker than space gray and looks a bit like midnight. The disadvantage of these dark colors is that you quickly see fingerprints on them. Apple has come up with a solution for this. Thanks to a special coating, you will hardly see any dirty prints and your MacBook will remain tidy. A nice detail is that the charging cable is included in the same color. The cable is made of fabric, so it wears out less quickly. I think it's a shame that the adapter is just white. Edit photos, videos and play light games I always edit my photos with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Loading edits and files is fast on this MacBook Pro. My MacBook also has no trouble editing videos. I transfer my raw photo files directly from my Canon camera. In a few seconds, all the material is on my MacBook, without it getting hot. Not even when I connect my 2 external screens and render a 4K video. Besides, I play games on my MacBook. The new M3 chips have ray tracing, which makes rendering images even smoother. I easily play Fortnite with my friends while streaming my gameplay. Frequent charging is not necessary, because my fully charged MacBook lasts up to 18 hours. My own mini cinema Thanks to the 6 Dolby Atmos speakers, I hear sounds and music all around me. The Liquid Retina XDR screen is razor sharp, so I don't miss a single detail. In addition, I can see even dark images clearly thanks to the 600 nits screen. I easily place my 1.6 kilogram MacBook on my lap and turn every environment into my own mini cinema.

I hesitated a lot whether to go for the MacBook Air 15" or Pro 14", but in the end I opted for the pro and I don't regret it for a moment. The Pro feels a bit 'clunky' compared to the Air, but I think this is a positive. The screen of the 14" Pro is ideally sized, while I found it just too small on my previous Pro (13"). The screen quality of this MacBook Pro is phenomenal: crystal clear and you can see enough outside during the day even in sunny weather. The color space black is, in my opinion, a very luxurious version, and is much less sensitive than the midnight of the Air. A small pity is that the charging cable is made in space black, but they do not extend this line to the adapter (which is still white), Apple could have done more with this. Anyway, then we are already talking about very small details. In terms of speed and smoothness, this M3 pro chip is a winner. As a tip I can give you very good information about the different versions, because there are some, too many in my opinion.

I switched from the 16-inch Macbook from 2019 with the Intel processor and touch bar. This model lacked connectivity options, so I had new peripherals tailored to USB C. This model has the HDMI and SD card input back and even the magnetic charger is back. Fortunately, the Macbook still has 3 USB C inputs, so you don't really miss anything. It's lightning fast and the screen is fantastic and I'm glad the touch bar is gone! Small detail is that they supply a black charging cable and a white charger that doesn't really look nice. What I do find difficult is the large number of options on processors, it would be more user-friendly to provide fewer options or communicate the differences more clearly.
