Screen and dial Unlike smartwatches, this hybrid watch only has a very small screen where I see my data. I scroll through the menu using the button on the side. In the app on my smartphone I can set what I want to see on my watch, for example the date, my heart rate, steps and temperature. I also start a workout or breathing exercise like this. It took me some time to get used to the controls, but now I find it useful. Because it is not a touchscreen, I don't accidentally click anything. Because the digital screen is small, I have to view my extensive health data in the app. Measure temperature With this Scanwatch 2 I constantly measure my body temperature. This allows the Withings to learn what my normal temperature is. If my temperature gets too high, I may become ill. I always get very warm while exercising. This watch notifies me when I get too hot, so I can take it easy. If you overheat during exercise, it will be worse for your performance. Measure heart rate Withings is very good at making ECG tests. I use this to make a kind of video of my heart rate and heart rhythm. This makes it possible to detect irregularities. Please note: if you have any doubts or concerns, always consult your doctor. Battery life I did not have to charge the watch during testing. The battery life is 30 days. I think this is a major advantage of hybrid watches. This way I almost don't have to take it off. Charging itself is not very fast. But since I don't have to do this often, it's not a problem. Quality of measurements I notice that this watch is not a sports watch. Measuring sports is slightly less successful. It doesn't have built-in GPS, so I have to take my smartphone with me when I run. I don't find this very useful. The Scanwatch does not really measure sports with a lot of fast movements, such as body pump and the gym.

It is a good hybrid smartwatch that is very dependent on the app. The app is where all my criticism lies, so this watch has much more to offer. Hopefully software updates will fix this.
