We recently decided to opt for a cordless vacuum cleaner (in addition to the existing canister vacuum cleaner). This Philips seemed like a great solution to us, partly considering the two-in-one function for mopping. We noticed that we were very reluctant to pick up the cumbersome traditional canister vacuum cleaner, which knocks on a few baseboards every time, the cord is just too short to reach that last corner, etc. We now have it in no time.' In our home for two weeks and we are quite satisfied so far. The user manual consists solely of illustrations, which meant that it was a bit of a puzzle in the beginning to operate the device according to the correct instructions. Fortunately, there are also some (brief) videos on the internet and it is not complicated. It feels like a relief to suddenly be able to move freely after years of vacuuming with wires. For example, the stairs suddenly become very easy. Various attachments are included, making it suitable for any type of space. The vacuum cleaner also has a light that makes the dirt clearly visible (we were shocked at how much of it piled up on the floor that is normally not visible). This light is also extended on the various nozzles so that the function is almost always present. The battery life that Philips enthusiastically talks about can only be achieved when vacuuming in the most economical setting without all the features. If not, the battery will be empty a lot faster (+/- 25-30 minutes). The suction power can be adjusted to three settings. This is a lot less than a traditional vacuum cleaner, but enough that it is not disturbing. The mopping function is very useful to kill two birds with one stone. Lines will have to be vacuumed if you want to use the mopping function. In addition, you cannot really 'scrub', so for us this function is mainly used to keep it permanently clean. In our opinion, the weight is fine and not too heavy. Thanks to the various accessories, this vacuum cleaner is also easy to use as a petty thief and to clean the car. It is precisely that versatility and the simplicity of quickly cleaning a room with the vacuum cleaner that we do not regret this purchase. The price is very high and depending on how long the vacuum cleaner ultimately lasts will determine whether we stick with such a stick vacuum cleaner in the future.

I had a Xiaomi stick vacuum cleaner for less than €200 for two years, with which I now compare this Philips stick vacuum cleaner. We are a family with two young children aged 4 and 6, which means we have to vacuum every day, especially around the dining room table. I bought this vacuum cleaner because I was looking for a little more quality and a long battery life. All in all, it is an excellent vacuum cleaner, which is quieter and vacuums better, but with a somewhat disappointing battery life (especially on turbo and normal mode) and some other inconveniences regarding charging and storage, see some more details below. . This vacuum cleaner is more than twice as expensive as my previous one, but I think it is only 1.5 times as good. Results: This stick vacuum cleaner is of excellent quality, feels solid, is easy to operate and easy to maneuver and, importantly, cleans well. The LED lighting in the base also makes it easy to see where there is something on the floor. Some of the other supplied suction nozzles also have LED lighting. I don't use the mop function. Battery: When I first used the vacuum cleaner, it was on turbo mode, which quickly drains the battery, meaning it lasts a maximum of 20 minutes. By pressing the button with the minus sign it changes from turbo to normal. On the normal setting I can vacuum an extensive circle around and under the dining table 7 times and that is, to be honest, a bit disappointing. On the eco mode it lasts at least twice as long as on the normal mode. After a whole week of walking around the dining table every day, there is still 50% in the battery. The cleaning result is of sufficient quality on the eco setting, although slightly less good than on the normal setting. The last used mode is automatically used again the next time, which is useful of course. Charging and storage: Fortunately, you can charge the vacuum cleaner automatically when you hang it in the holder. I hung this, without the handle, in the meter cupboard so that it was stored out of sight. Using a timer I have set it so that the vacuum cleaner is charged once a week. This means that the battery is not continuously charged (perhaps better for the life of the battery). Unfortunately, the battery cannot be charged separately, so you have to place the entire unit, fortunately without the rod, near a socket. Or you have to buy a separate battery charger, but that is quite expensive. The vacuum cleaner also does not stay upright on its own, so you have to either take it apart, hang it up or put it down for storage or if you receive a phone call or someone is at the door.

With the lighting on the vacuum cleaner you are actually confronted with a very dusty (PVC) floor. That's something you don't really want to know... On the other hand, with the lighting you can also clearly see that the dust is gone again. The floor mat is easy and easy to clean with the brush. It is special to see how much dust is in the drum after a vacuum cleaner action. We really thought we would always have a clean house.
