TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

We were looking for the ideal helper in the household: a robot vacuum cleaner that is not only suitable for different floor types, but can also handle a house with pets walking around. We have currently had this product for a few weeks and we noticed the following: The suction power of the Tapo RV30 Plus is impressive. Whether it concerns PVC, laminate, tiles or a low-pile rug, this vacuum cleaner has no difficulty in thoroughly cleaning every surface. The visible vacuum marks on the carpet after use were a pleasant surprise, the vacuum cleaner recognizes the carpet and adjusts its suction level accordingly! Although the noise production during normal use is acceptable, emptying the dust container is noticeable due to the loud noise. So don't be alarmed by this. Fortunately, our dog seems to adapt well to the vacuum cleaner. The accompanying app for the Tapo RV30 Plus is very user-friendly. It guides you through the installation steps and offers useful features such as creating multiple maps (useful for multi-storey homes), setting specific zones and adjusting cleaning intensity. The fact that the maps are adjusted when the environment changes makes this vacuum cleaner a smart device. The Tapo RV30 Plus follows an efficient cleaning route, first along the edges and then systematically zigzagging through the room. Even with manual movements, the device retains its position. It avoids collisions, crosses low thresholds effortlessly and has a smart 'escape function' when it gets stuck. With each new cleaning, the device tries to optimize efficiency. For an area of 25 square meters it takes about 25 minutes, leaving a battery life of 90%! The overview in the app adds a nice dimension. Maintenance is generally simple, although not completely effortless. The brush is easy to disassemble for removing long hairs, without the hassle of screws. Which I think is a huge plus! The self-cleaning function adds an extra benefit, but we noted that the vacuum cleaner bags are relatively pricey. I can't say yet how long these will last. The voice function works properly, but due to the loud volume we chose to disable it. All in all, the Tapo RV30 Plus Robot Vacuum Cleaner has proven itself as a smart and versatile assistant in our household. With its suction power, convenient app control and cleaning behavior, this vacuum cleaner offers excellent performance and ease of use. Although there are some minor concerns, such as the price of vacuum cleaner bags, maintenance and noise, we consider it a lasting valuable addition to our household.

I was allowed to test this vacuum cleaner for 2 weeks and I loved it. It empties itself and that makes a big difference because I would forget to do it every cleaning. When I opened the box everything was clearly explained so you could get started right away. Making maps with the lidar system went smoothly, first along the edges and then zigzag through the space. I made 3 maps for each floor and then I just put it on the right map and it gets to work. The battery is quite good. I was able to do all 3 floors but that was just fine! You can choose to do the entire map or room by room. However, you still have to look for the docking station, but that is of course downstairs. If it searches for a while, a notification will appear in the app and it will stop searching. The mop function is not that special. Couldn't really test it because it is recommended to only use Tapo cleaning agent and I couldn't find that to order. The no mop zone works as it should. Then my carpet doesn't get mopped. Everything has been neatly cleaned, just make sure there are no loose cables, but you can also do that with a regular vacuum cleaner. Connecting with Google was a bit difficult, but after checking the settings carefully, it worked as it should. Setting up routines also went well.
