Description

With the Ring Video Doorbell Generation 2, you know who's at your doorstep, anytime, anywhere. Connect the doorbell to WiFi and watch, listen, and talk live. Via the app on your smartphone, you can always see what's happening at your doorstep, even if you're not at home. The image quality of this second generation Ring has been improved to Full HD. Thanks to the infrared night vision, you can see exactly who's at your doorstep in the dark. In case of movement up to 9m away, the camera will automatically take a screenshot and send a notification via the app. That way, you always know what to expect before you open the door. You need a subscription to save the recorded images in the Cloud. You pay a monthly or annual fee for this.

Note: you need a Ring Home subscription if you want to view recorded footage or use person detection. This costs € 3.99 per month.

It is a top product from the Ring range which is definitely recommended. one minus point, with this model the battery is only rechargeable. Charging takes about 3 hours. With a more expensive model, the battery is replaceable, so you'll never be without a bell. So you should recharge in the evening as late as possible so that you don't expect a visitor. But for visitors no one wants to receive, you have no camera for monitoring or possibly recording.
