With the Fellowes Powershred LX201 I shred old debit cards and sensitive documents in a safe way. Privacy-sensitive documents I often throw my letters from the tax authorities, government or bank with the old paper, while they contain sensitive personal data. An office often also has a lot of privacy-sensitive information on paper. It is safer to shred this paper. The paper shredder makes such small shreds of my documents that they are impossible to recover. An A4 is shredded into 2,000 pieces. So I don't have to worry about the security of my data. Format The shredder has a fairly large size. It therefore does not fit on my desk but has to stand on the floor. There are wheels under the machine, so I can move it easily. It is also not heavy, I can lift it with ease. The plug has a fairly short cord, so you have to be close to a socket. Ease of use I find the paper shredder easy to use. The machine automatically shreds the paper when I feed it. If my fingers get too close, the shredder will stop by itself. I really like this safety feature in a paper shredder. I can feed up to 12 sheets at a time. If you want to shred large documents, I would go for a variant with a higher throughput. After shredding for 10 minutes, the machine cools down automatically. After 15 minutes I can use it again. The paper bin is very spacious. I can also take it out of the shredder for easy emptying. Special waste bags are supplied with the shredder. Maintenance It is important to maintain the chipper properly by occasionally dripping some oil over the blades. According to the manual, you should do this every time you empty the paper bin. A small bottle of oil comes with the shredder. This is enough for a few greasing.

I had a cheaper destroyer before, broke. And then bought another cheap copy, but this one also broke. So far I am very satisfied with the powershred. Is solid. And the fact that there is a pull-out tray is also very handy. No more fiddling with lifting the lid.

After using two cheap shredders, I switched to a semi-professional one. Purchase is certainly half the price, but the result and the friendliness of use more than makes up for this. The sound is much less compared to the previous models I used. But in combination with the paper collection bags, I think this is a very nice machine that I can enjoy for a long time. The model is not too big, but certainly not too small that you have to empty the tank every few days. I was also recommended to lubricate the blades, which I was never told on my previous models. Perfect machine in use and low noise.
