Rowenta X-Plorer Series 220+ RR9485

I have been dreaming of a robot vacuum cleaner for years: if I had such a thing, my household would run smoothly: I would have time to spare ;). The Rowenta does its vacuuming work excellently. You install the app and "the playing" can begin. The first few days I sat on the couch and enjoyed watching it do its thing. And yes, it picks up every speck of dust. An additional advantage is that it goes to the charging station itself and empties the collection container there. The biggest confrontation was that I had to get to work myself to get my household more organized. I had far too much stuff on the floor and the cords of lamps had to be shortened considerably, so that the robot could do its work undisturbed. Once you have that in order, it is relaxing. I have divided my room into zones and programmed everything via the app. When I come home or downstairs: it is neat. I am critical: I find the mopping function to be a drawback. To mop, you fill a small reservoir with some water, then click a small microfiber cloth onto it. The first time I thought the result was bad: as if a dry cloth with a drop of water had been wiped over the floor. It turns out that you can set the moisture level of the mop element. After I set it to high and moistened the cloth a little, the result is better. You should not expect a cleaning mop robot to go through your house/kitchen, but for daily mop maintenance it is sufficient. Although I can see myself going over the floor with a steam device or mop every few days. On the other hand, there are enough plus points so the robot can stay :).

The Rowenta 220+ has a beautiful design and a good size so it can be placed in the living room. It is very easy to set up via the app and can vacuum the entire room with a full battery. However, for unknown reasons, the robot has stopped in the middle of the room twice with an empty battery, even though it can easily vacuum the entire room. The Rowenta 220+ really does a great job of vacuuming and mopping! Beautiful clean tiles and laminate. We let the Rowante 220+ do its work on the BG at night because you can hear it, especially when emptying the charging station. You can indicate in the app when it should clean which room. The charging station must be on the same floor, otherwise the robot will not vacuum. Unfortunately, it has often happened that the Rowenta 220+ is stuck on a leg of a piece of furniture. As a result, the robot cannot finish the job. We expected that this would not happen due to the object detection (but a cable with adapter as in the video is also not seen in real practice). The only solution for this seems to be setting the robot to vacuum around the legs by default. This is a large area because the furniture sometimes moves and that is a shame because hairs and crumbs lie right at the legs. Apart from getting stuck on the legs of furniture due to probably a less effective object detection, only positive things about the Rowenta 220+.

Works well because you can choose which part of the house you clean with a click. Saves a lot of time and also sucks dog hair well.
