Kobo Clara 2E

The Kobo Clara 2E is a compact and lightweight e-reader. I can easily hold it with one hand. I like to read on public transport on my way to work. This e-reader is certainly suitable for that. Small and light The e-reader has a 6 inch screen. This makes it very handy and light. I put the e-reader in my bag, without it taking up much space. This works especially well for me when I read on the bus and train. Much more convenient than carrying around a thick paper book. In addition, I am not worried about insufficient reading material. I store thousands of books on the memory. So I always take it with me on the road. SleepCover I use the Kobo SleepCover to protect the e-reader against damage. Thanks to the built-in stand, I also put it upright. This is how I eat my breakfast and in the meantime I read a biography. A note: when I read at home I would find a larger screen more comfortable. Read and listen The e-reader has useful functions that are pleasant to my eyes. ComfortLight Pro gives the screen a warmer hue when it gets dark. As a result, it emits less blue light. I fall asleep quickly at night after reading in bed. I also like the dark screen mode. Then the background of the screen is black and the letters are white. This ensures a peaceful reading experience. What I do miss with this e-reader are physical buttons. Now I flip through a book by tapping the screen. This works less pleasantly than buttons in the housing of the e-reader. Another nice feature is that I also listen to audiobooks. I connect headphones via bluetooth and listen to my favorite books hands-free. Download books I easily transfer books that I already own to my e-reader via the supplied cable. But when I buy a new book in Kobo's online library, I put it on my e-reader with 1 push of a button via WiFi. I find this very useful, especially if I take out a Kobo Plus subscription. I then download unlimited books from the library for a fixed monthly price. A must for the real bookworm!

I actually liked my Kobo Aura Edition 2 from 2016, but my girlfriend used it more and more. That's why I bought this one now and it's a nice successor. Entering the WiFi code is a bit of a hassle, but oh well. Then log in with Bol.com account and all books are neatly on it. Also 'uploading' via the USB-C cable is fine without extra software or hassle.

After a few weeks of intensive use of this e-reader, the battery is still not empty. You can easily read, although you have to click through to the next page relatively often. This is because this e-reader is just a bit too small. You can download many books on it
