This is my very first fully automatic coffee machine, after only being used to Senseo. Now I was satisfied with that, but now that I've tasted the coffee that this machine makes... My main requirements were: silent grinder, must be able to prepare milk specialties without much hassle, easy to use, easy to clean. After some searching I came across this machine, and I am very satisfied. The machine is very stylish, with touch sensitive keys. The grinding of the beans is surprisingly quiet. It doesn't make any noise at all like most machines, on the contrary. It's great that they got this done. You can put 2 types of beans in it, which is very cool. Changing the beans is done with a sliding lever. The disadvantage of this is that some other beans always remain in the grinding compartment when converting, so your first cup is always a mixture of both beans. But from the 2nd head this 'problem' is gone. By the way, brewing coffee is child's play: at the touch of a button, you can make delicious coffee with a firm crema layer. Cappuccinos taste really delicious, with a good thick foam layer. A glass of warm water or warm milk is also no problem. Do you want to adjust the strength of the coffee, the amount of coffee/water/milk/milk foam,...? You can also quickly adjust this with the buttons and save it if you wish, so that you can always prepare your favorite coffee. Making 2 preparations at the same time is also no problem, or what did you think. In the app you can find more recipes (via Bluetooth) (eg cappuccino with 1 or 2 extra shots), or compose your own coffee. You can also find very clear step-by-step schedules in the app to maintain your device. Speaking of maintenance: the device rinses itself every time it is switched on and off (can also be switched off, but why would you do that?), and after every preparation with milk, it also rinses the milk hose and frother. Very handy! Rinse the brew group once a week and you can continue. The box contains cleaning agents to thoroughly clean the machine the first time, and a water filter if you have hard water. The disadvantage of this machine is that it uses quite a lot of water when rinsing, so that the drip tray is full quickly. This must be emptied after 6/7 bags anyway. Not a disaster, but still. I find the general quality of the coffee and other preparations very high. I am not a barista but I do know what a good cup of coffee or cappuccino is. And I'm not disappointed yet. For this money you get a lot in return. Don't hesitate: the Melitta Barista T is the coffee machine you want to have at home!
