Makita G 18V is one of the battery platforms from Makita. This series of tools is especially suitable for regular, non-professional use. When you purchase a battery with the Makita G battery platform, the battery can also be used for other tools with the same battery system. In addition to the Makita G 18V platform, Makita has another 18-volt platform: Makita LXT 18V. It's not possible to use a Makita LXT 18V battery for Makita G series machines. This is also not possible the other way around. The 2 platforms are completely separate from each other.
