What's Apple Books?
Apple Books in short
Apple Books is installed on your Apple product by default. You don't need a subscription for this. When you open Apple Books, you go to the home page. This is your digital bookmark, because you can see right away which books you're reading and where you left off. You can also see an overview of new books and audio books, suggestions for you, bestselling books per genre, the top 10 books, and your personal reading goals.
Do you choose reading books or audio books?
Buy books in the Book Store
In the tab Book Store, you can view all available e-books. You can easily search per genre, language, or price. There are also free e-books available. Don't you know yet what you're going to read and do you want to get some inspiration? View the e-books that others are reading right now at New & Trending and Popular Books. If you need books for school, you can also easily download them on Apple Books. This way, you don't need many heavy books.
Listen to your favorite audio books
Audio books are books you listen to. The author often tells the story themselves, but it can also be someone else. With audio books, you can enjoy your favorite books at any moment. For example, listen to the best stories via CarPlay, your Apple Watch, or your iPhone. This way, you can keep listening to your book while driving, working out, or cleaning. Do you want to relax? An audio book is great for this as well.
Create your own library
In your library, you can find all books that you're reading right now, have read, or still want to read. With Apple Books, you can also easily create collections. This way, you can group your favorite books and audio books and you can create your personal online bookshelf.
Set reading goals
In the Apple Books app, you can set personal reading goals. With reading goals, you can keep track of how long you read or listen to an audio book every day. This way, Apple Books helps you with keeping track of your personal records. For example, the goal for number of minutes, pages, or books.
Publish your own e-books
Are you a writer and do you want to share your books with the world? This is also possible with Apple Books.
