How do you watch movies on your PS4?

What do I need?
Your PS4 An active internet connection An active Netflix account (optional) Your DVD and/or Blu-ray collection
Option 1: Blu-ray and DVDs
The easiest option to watch movies on your PS4 is to put your games back in the box and put your favorite DVD or Blu-ray in the disc reader. Make sure you're already in the PlayStation main menu and your PS4 automatically opens the media player to play your movie. Note: UHD Blu-ray discs aren't supported, so you need a special UHD Blu-ray disc player for this.
Option 2: Streaming
If you have internet, streaming is also a good solution. Whether you use a paid subscription like Netflix or simply watch cat videos on YouTube, you certainly won't get bored.
Netflix
In order to use Netflix, do the following:
- Navigate to the PlayStation Store from the main menu
- Navigate down to the 'Apps' section.
- Select the Netflix app and choose 'Download'.
- Wait until the download is complete and start the app.
- Log in with your Netflix account or try a free trial and watch your favorite series from your PS4.
Twitch
Do you prefer watching bizarre stunts by your favorite streamers live? In that case, the Twitch App is just the thing for you.
- Navigate to the PlayStation Store from the main menu
- Navigate down to the 'Apps' section.
- Select the Twitch app and choose 'Download'.
- Wait until the download is complete and start the app.
- Look for your favorite streamer or choose a game you're interested in and let the viewing pleasure begin.
Youtube
Movies, check. Gaming streams, check. Cat videos? Almost.
- Navigate to the PlayStation Store from the main menu.
- Go to the section 'Apps'.
- Select the YouTube app and choose 'Download'.
- Wait until the download has finished and start the app.
- Search for 'cute kitten compilation' and forget your worries with these cute kittens.
