- Tip 2: try a different charger
- Tip 3: clean the USB port
Tip 1: do a battery test
It's possible that your device doesn't charge because the battery is no loner working. You can check this with a battery test. Go through the following steps for this.
1: download the app 'Samsung Members' in the Google Play Store. 2: tap 'Get Help' in the lower bar in the Samsung Members app. 3: tap 'Start' under 'Diagnostics'. 4: choose 'Battery status'. Your smartphone is now performing a battery test. 5: do you see 'Good' after 'Life'? This means that your battery isn't the problem. Do you see something else there? That means that the battery isn't working properly. Take or send your device to CoolblueRepareert to have it repaired.
Tip 2: try a different charger
It's possible that your smartphone is still working fine, but the charger is broken. Try charging another device with the same charger to rule this out. Does this other smartphone also not charge? Your charger is defective. To be completely sure, you can also try charging your own phone with a different charger and charging cable. Does that work? There's nothing wrong with your smartphone.
Tip 3: clean the USB port
Maybe the charger can't make contact, because there's dirt in the USB port of your smartphone. First, clean your charging port. You do this by blowing hard in the port or cleaning it with compressed air. Doesn't that work? Carefully scrape away the dirt in the USB port with a thin object such as a toothpick.
