Help with problems with your Gigaset phone
Problem: my Gigaset's display isn't showing anything
Possible causes:
- The handset isn't on.
- The batteries aren't charged.
- The handset's key lock is on.
Solutions:
- Turn on the handset.
- Charge the batteries or replace them.
- Disable the key lock. You can do this by long-pressing the pound key.
Problem: my phone's battery drains really fast

Solutions:
- Disable the extra functions.
- Replace the batteries.

Problem: my handset doesn't ring
Possible causes:
1, The ringer volume is disabled. 2. Forwarding calls is disabled. 3. The ringtone is suppressed with unknown numbers. 4. The device doesn't ring within a certain period of time.
Solutions:
- Turn on the ringer volume.
- Turn off the forwarding calls function.
- Turn off the ringer volume for unknown numbers.
- The timer is set. Switch it off. If appliccable, check the list of blocked numbers.
Problem: the display shows a 'Pair handset' or 'Place handset on base station' message
Possible causes:
- The handset isn't registered on the base station yet.
- You've exceeded the maximum number of registered handsets.
Solutions:
- Register the headset.
- Check the manual of your device to find out the maximum number of handsets you can register on the base station.
Problem: caller ID isn't working
Possible causes:
- Caller has disabled caller ID.
- The provider hasn't activated or doesn't support caller ID.
- The phone is connected to a router or base station that doesn't transfer the information correctly.
Solutions:
- The caller has to activate caller ID via their provider.
- Contact your provider to activate caller ID.
- Reset the base station to factory settings. You can do this by unplugging the base station for 1 minute. Then, plug it back in. If it concerns a router, check the settings of the router on your PC or in the manual. ook for terms like 'Caller ID', 'CLIP', 'Show calls" and 'Send phone number'.
Problem: calls aren't being connected when I take my handset out of its charging station for an incoming call.
Possible cause:
- Auto-answer is disabled.
Solution:
- Enable the auto-answer function.
Problem: the display shows a 'No base station' message
Possible causes:
- The handset is out of reach for the base station.
- The base station is switched off.
- The base station has less range.
Solutions:
- Reduce the distance between the handset and the base station.
- Check whether all of the connectors are plugged into the base station and/or router properly.
- 'Maximum range' is switched off. Switch it on
