Retro design
The design of the Nikon Z fc is similar to the classic FM2 camera. Nikon added the large Z mount to it. The camera can capture a lot of light as a result. It doesn't just have a retro look, you also control it the old-fashioned way. There are various wheels on the top of the camera to adjust the ISO value, shutter speed, and exposure. As a photographer, you can experiment with these settings by turning the wheels until you reach the desired effect.
Adjust the camera to your liking
You can control the camera with the dials on the top. You can assign functions to the dials to ensure smooth controls that are adjusted to your liking. Prefer to use the automatic mode, but don't like the exposure? Correct it with the exposure correction. The camera supports this correction in the auto mode. And with the 20 Picture Control options, you have even more control over your photos. It allows you to adjust the hue, tone, and saturation.
Fast autofocus with eye detection AF
When you take photos and record videos, you have eye detection AF and animal detection AF. This detection is also available is you choose widefield AF. With this, you continuously focus on the eyes of your subject. This is especially useful if you capture multiple people at the same time or a moving animal. You can also photograph other moving subjects sharply. You can fix the focus on the subject, making the subject sharp and the background blurry. You can use this to show movement.
Tiltable screen
You can flip the screen of the Z fc to the side and then turn it 180 degrees. This allows you to record vlogs or take photos from difficult angles. You can easily set the screen to the position you need, so you don't have to lay on the floor for certain photos. If you flip the screen for a vlog or selfie, the camera automatically switches to the portrait mode. And you can easily adjust the setting via the touchscreen.
