After Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has finally released a sequel on 5 October 2023: Assassin's Creed Mirage. The game takes place 20 years before Assassin's Creed Valhalla. In this version of Assassin's Creed, you find yourself in the Golden Age of Baghdad full of historic buildings and characters.
The story
In the gameplay trailer, we see Basim sneak through the streets of Baghdad. You're part of the Hidden Ones, a group of assassins who fights against injustice and oppression. We know the Hidden Ones from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. You experience the Zanj uprising, during which the people of Baghdad stood up against the Turkish troops.

What stands out the most in the gameplay trailer is that we go back to the original playstyle. There's a lot of sneaking, making strategic choices, and staying in the shadows. We saw a little less of this in the earlier Assassin's Creed games. Use throwing knives, smoke bombs, and of course your hidden blade. In addition, it no longer has the leveling and XP system that Valhalla has. Instead of this, you get a skill tree and can upgrade your weapons.
