What noise level does your washer dryer combination need?

To determine which noise level is best for your situation, look at the noise level during spinning. Place a loud washer dryer combination in a basement or shed. Do you want to place the appliance close to your bedroom? Choose an extra silent appliance. Find out what noise levels there are and which one is best for you here.

Choose noise level washer dryer combination

Noise level washer dryer combination

With a washer dryer combination, we always look at the noise level while spinning during a wash cycle. That's because this part of the wash cycle produces the most noise. We distinguish noise levels in the following 4 categories:

  • Extra silent (70dB or less)
  • Silent (71 or 72dB)
  • Normal (73 to 76dB)
  • Loud (77dB or more)

Is the washer dryer combination close to your bedroom or living area? Choose the most silent appliance.

Extra silent: for small spaces

Extra silent

An extra silent washer dryer combination has a noise level of 71dB or less. These appliances are a good choice if you work from home a lot, live in a small space, or are easily bothered by noise, for example. Thanks to its low noise level, you can easily put this washer dryer combination in a studio, study, or near your bedroom. Running the appliance while you're at home or even while you're sleeping is no problem.

Silent: for an open kitchen

silent

A silent washer dryer combination has a noise level of 71 or 72dB. These machines are also a good choice if you study or work from home a lot. You can place this washer dryer combination in an open kitchen or next to your bedroom without being bothered by noise. This way, you can also run a wash cycle while you work or sleep.

Normal: for the attic

Normal noise level

A washer dryer combination with a normal noise level produces between 73 and 76db of noise. This means that you'll hear the appliance clearly when you wash. That's why it's sensible to not place the washing machine near your bedroom or living room. It's best to place these washer dryer combinations in a closed kitchen or in the attic, so it doesn't bother you when you're at home.

Loud: for in a laundry room or cellar

Loud noise level

Washer dryer combinations with a 78dB noise level or more are loud appliances. It's best to place them as far away from your living room or bedroom as possible. For example, are you going to place the appliance in a laundry room, basement, or shed? The noise won't bother you during washing. If you do place the machine close to your living area, we recommend washing when you're not at home.
