Cool, freeze, and heat up

Compressor cooler

Compressor cooler: cool and freeze

With a Dometic compressor cooler, you can both cool and freeze food and drinks. This is useful if you want to freeze meals for later in the day or make ice cubes. The cooler also isn't dependent on the ambient temperature. As a result, you can also use it on hot summer days. It also reaches the desired temperature quickly, so you don't have to wait long for a cold drink.

Thermoelectric cooler

Thermoelectric cooler: cools and heats

A thermoelectric cooler cools your drinks or keeps your food warm. So you can prepare your hot meal before you leave and enjoy it in the evening during your trip. Or choose to keep your drinks cool for the entire drive. Depending on the model, your drinks remain up to 27°C below the ambient temperature. With the heating function, that's up to 65°C above the ambient temperature.

Absorption cooler

Absorption cooler: cools only

Cool your food and drinks up to 30°C below the ambient temperature with a Dometic absorption cooler. These coolers hardly produce any noise. This means that you won't have any problems sleeping at the campsite. An absorption cooler has no freezing or heating function. This gives you less control over the contents of the cooler, compared to a compressor or thermoelectric cooler. You can also make ice cubes with the evaporator.

Compressor: warm holidays with power supply

Are you going to the campsite or on a road trip? A Dometic compressor cooler is a good choice. You can connect this in the car or camper via the 12 or 24V connector. This way, you have cold drinks on hand during your trip. At the campsite, connect the cooler to the 210 to 230V connector. Hot summer days aren't a problem for a compressor cooler, because the ambient temperature doesn't affect on the contents.

  • You can also enjoy a cold drink on the hottest summer days.

  • The Dometic compressor coolers are also suitable for solar power.

  • A compressor cooler makes a relatively large amount of noise compared to other types of coolers.
Dometic thermoelectric cooler

Thermoelectric: holidays with power supply

You can take a Dometic thermoelectric cooler with you on a trip or to the campsite. You can do this with the 12, 24 or 230V connector. Because the ambient temperature affects the cooling performance, this cooler is less suitable for hot summer days. So a summer road trip to Spain isn't a great idea with a thermoelectric cooler. Thanks to the heating function, this cooler is useful at colder destinations.

  • You can use this cooler at cold to moderately warm destinations.

  • These coolers are also suitable for keeping the contents warm.

  • This cooler has more difficulty cooling at warm destinations.
Dometic absorption cooler

Absorption: also for places without electricity

Not sure where you're going on holiday, or are you going to a campsite without electricity? Choose an absorption cooler. This works with both a 12 and 230V connector and a gas connection. This way, you can enjoy cold drinks on the road in the car and then on the campsite. Just like a thermoelectric cooler, the Dometic absorption cooler is less suitable for warm temperatures above 30°C.

  • You can also take this cooler to places without electricity because it works with gas.

  • These coolers work completely silently, so you won't be bothered by noise.

  • This cooler has more difficulty cooling at warm destinations.
