Manual pump

For example, as a backup for your electric pump or as a light small pump for on the go. An advantage of a manual pump is the noise level. A manual pump is much more silent than an electric pump.
Electric pump
An electric pump always makes noise, but it's easier to use than a manual pump. The motor creates a vacuum and pumps the milk that way. You only have to keep the pump in the right spot. Another advantage of an electric pump is that you can easily adjust the suction power. This way, you can adjust the pump as you like.
Where do you want to use the pump?
Which breast pump suits you best also depends on the location where you want to use it. If you only use it at home, an electric pump with a cord is suitable. Do you want to use the pump on the go? A manual pump or a breast pump with a battery or batteries is a better choice. Because you're not bound to a socket, you can also pump in your car when you're on a daytrip.
