Description

With the Denver WCT-8026, you can take photos and videos of wild animals. For example, you can photograph a deer with young without coming close. This wildlife camera records in Full HD, which produces sharp videos. When the motion sensors detect and animal, the camera immediately starts a recording. The range of these sensors is 25m. That way, you don't miss a single moment. Thanks to the infrared lighting, your videos are clear even in the dark. This allows you to also capture nocturnal animals on video, like foxes and badgers. Via the TrailCam Go app, you can connect the camera to your phone. That way, you can easily rewatch the footage.

A good device but not for small animals

  • sharp images
  • Battery good so far
  • no small animals

I bought this product to keep an eye on my cats and chickens. Mainly to see which animal comes to steal my eggs and to see if a washed-up cat doesn't fight with the house cat. Unfortunately, the device didn't automatically record either cat or chicken. Only with me in the picture. That's why I suspect that the device is not really intended to detect smaller animals. So for me it's worthless, although it is now mounted on my driveway and takes fantastic pictures there. Certainly no complaints in that respect. Of course it could be that the setup is not correct, but I have already tried many heights and distances. Or I have a bad device (was 2nd chance). The batteries seem to hold up well. After 10 days of use still 100% with 8! AA batteries. The connection with the app works well in itself. It goes via a wifi hotspot, which seems logical if you want to use it in a remote place. At home, a connection with wifi could be made possible. The result is that you now have to stand by the camera to read the images. You have to reconnect each time. It doesn't take long, but automatic would be cooler. The images look more than adequate to very good. They also contain time indication and temperature of the moment of recording. Summary: a good device that does not meet my expectations. That is why it will probably end up in the cupboard or second hand when the batteries are empty. For large animals it will probably be great for its price.
