TCL QD Mini-LED 75C71N (2024) + TCL Q85H

I enjoy clear images with the TCL C71N. Thanks to the small LED lights that light up or dim individually, dark images look clear in my illuminated living room. Convenience When I install the television, I immediately notice that the remote control fits comfortably in the hand. The remote control has buttons that allow me to navigate directly to Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube. This allows me to watch my favourite film or series in just a few clicks. On the home page, I see an overview of all my favourite streaming services and I get useful tips based on my viewing history. This way, I get content that suits my interests. Image quality I notice that the TV screen is very bright and clear, even in illuminated rooms. This is due to the high peak brightness of 2000 nits. Dark objects do not have a light glow, so I can see the details well even in a bright room. This TV has QLED mini-LED technology, with quantum dots and mini-LED backlighting. The quantum dots provide vibrant colours and a wide colour spectrum. The thousands of mini LEDs provide sharp, clear images. Dark parts remain really black without disturbing light, which I like. Even in a bright room I can see details clearly. Thanks to the strong contrast and smooth movements I enjoy an extra realistic viewing experience, especially during football matches. Sound This television has 3 built-in speakers, which provide clear sound for all my favorite movies and series. Together with the built-in subwoofer the sound sounds clear, but it lacks the power of a soundbar. Still, it is sufficient for daily use and provides a nice viewing experience.

Setting it up was a bit tricky with the google home app, but eventually it worked. I was able to install all the apps I needed.

Unpacking went well, but installing was a bit difficult. There are 12 screws, 2 of which are long. The manual does not clearly indicate what it is for, but I figured out that the 10 small screws are for the foot. The VESA already has 2 screws on the top that also have a flat head like the 2 long ones. The bottom of the VESA has no screws, so they had to be parked there. After the foot was finally installed, the TV was placed in its place and connected. From that moment on, the further installation went smoothly. You get the option for basic or smart. If you choose basic, you can do the Google TV setup later. If you do that right away and still want to switch to basic, you will have to factory reset the TV. The steps were easy to follow and the Ziggo (UPC) CI + module works properly. • The sound of the TV is quite good, partly due to the Onkyo subwoofer that gives that extra, so I don't need a soundbar myself. I did try to pair a b&o bluetooth speaker via bluetooth and that works great! • The image is quite hard and red out of the box for me, you will most likely have to tune this yourself or as a guide youtube/avforum to find a starting point. After tuning the image is fine. • For the built-in Chromecast feature you will have to do the google tv setup. If you do not do this it will not be installed/enabled. I advise you to watch some 4k youtube videos to sit still for a moment what you have brought into your home. Especially if you have not seen Dolby Vision HDR before or regularly. All in all you get a lot of tv for what you pay.
