Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Green 40mm

I tested the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 for a week and this smartwatch is exactly what you expect from a Samsung Galaxy Watch: stylish and fast with a somewhat short battery life.

Recognizable design and size Samsung has a sleek and recognizable design for their smartwatches. The Watch 7 also looks like this. I tested the 40 millimeter version and it fits my wrist well. I have a small wrist of 14 centimeters in circumference. However, I would replace the rubber strap with a nylon strap, because I think it fits better. I can operate the watch very easily with the touchscreen and the 2 buttons on the side

Super clear screen I think the screen of the Galaxy Watch 7 is one of the brightest screens I have seen on a smartwatch. The colors pop off your wrist. I see no difference between this screen and a nice smartphone screen. I think this is very cool. The screen therefore reflects a bit when I hold the watch in bright light, such as from a lamp or the sun. However, this is minimal and I don't find it disturbing.

Short battery life Samsung smartwatches always have a short battery life of 1 to 2 days. This Watch 7 also has this. If I turn off my location and don't exercise with the watch, the watch lasts 2 days before I have to charge it. If I have exercised, I charge the Watch 7 that same day. Otherwise the watch will be empty the next day.

Health and sleep The Watch 7 has a new function, namely energy score. This score is based on several factors, such as heart rate, stress level, activity and how well I slept. With this score I know how much energy I have left for a workout or whether I should take it easy. So I also wore the watch during my sleep. It accurately measures my sleep phases. This way I can see exactly how much I woke up during the night.

Smart functions I receive and read all notifications from my smartphone on my Samsung watch. I also answer my messages on the watch. I choose from standard messages, but I can also type a message myself. There are few smartwatches that can do this, so I think that's a great feature from Samsung.

Extensive sports measurements I tested the Watch 7 while running and skating. The watch measures the time, route and my heart rate accurately. Afterwards I can see my route accurately in the Samsung Health app. This app is clear and provides a lot of information about your performance, such as pace, running cadence and heart rate zones.

Nice smartwatch, lasts a bit longer than the previous one.

After some years using a fitbit sense, the battery seems like a joke. You can say I knew but is still incredibly short, no more than 1 day. I didn't find an interface that could include important data like my daily calorie intake. The letters of the interfaces are just so tiny that I cant understand a thing... Maybe the date is so much (on things that dont matter to me) that I feel overwhelmed when looking at the watch. I wish these devices didnt have so much focus on the steps and more in calorie data.
