I have been using the Tefal clothes steamer for a few weeks now and am generally positive. Tefal promises that you can quickly and easily freshen up and de-wrinkle your clothes, without spending a lot of time on it. Taking the device out of the box and assembling it is simple and self-explanatory. It comes with three rotating clothes hangers and a number of large and small clamps to tighten your clothes. There is also a remote control, which makes it very easy to operate. Although the device arrives compact, it turns out to be quite large after unfolding. You can fold it up again after each use, but that takes more time than you would think. In practice, it often remains unfolded. In daily use, the device certainly meets expectations! You hang your clothes in the cabin, secure the clamps and after the program the clothes come out virtually wrinkle-free. You do have to be careful where you place the clamps, because sometimes marks remain visible in the fabric. The refresh function is a big plus, especially after an evening near a BBQ, wood stove or someone smoking. In short, the device does what it promises, but I am not entirely sure whether it works much better than my steam cleaner. The biggest advantage is that you can do other things in the meantime, while a steam cleaner has to be operated manually. In terms of ironing results, I would say that the steam cleaner is better, but this does take more time. However, the function for removing unpleasant odors is really a godsend.

Even after a second more intensive treatment the result was not entirely satisfactory. The “quick” freshening up of garments with the steam function is easy and depending on the degree of contamination it is fine in terms of speed and result and will reduce allergens, however with garments that are worn more often, read less fresh, the result is less. The energy consumption of the clothes steamer probably depends on how and for what you are going to use the device. For quickly disinfecting and removing “fresh odors I expect the clothes steamer to be energy efficient. If you mainly want to use the device to dewrinkle less iron-free garments and have to steam several times for the desired result, this will increase.

You close the device and you choose the steam function, eliminate, refresh etc. The rest goes by itself. A timer indicates how long the process will take. Odors disappear like snow in the sun and you save another wash. Especially the freshening and steaming is ideal for me. Coats, shirts, shirts it doesn't matter. I am really pleasantly surprised.
