Samsung HW-Q990C (2023)

What a sound comes from the Samsung HW-Q990C. I really feel like I'm in the cinema while I'm just watching my favorite series on the couch.

Installation The installation was easy. It's a big and heavy box that comes in and when you install it you'll find out why. The soundbar and subwoofer are large and quite heavy. I'm quite small myself, so I'm glad someone helped me, because on my own I might have dropped things. Once everything is in place, connecting is very easy. You plug the supplied HDMI cables into the devices and connect them to the TV and mains power. The power cables are a bit on the short side, so check carefully whether you have enough sockets nearby.

Sound You will organize the movie nights from now on. What a sound experience. I have never heard such a powerful sound throughout the room before. I find the sound very impressive. You hear the sound as if it were happening live around you. If you see a car driving on the left, you also hear it speed past to your left. With Q-Symphony, in addition to the sound from the soundbar, you also hear sound from your television. This makes sound sound more realistic. You can actually hear the bird in the distance flying in the distance.

Usage Operating the soundbar is super easy. You use the remote control, but the app is just as useful. In the app you will also find more options for your sound reproduction. I like that you can adjust the sound of the subwoofer separately. Sometimes the bass is too loud for me, so I turn it down a bit.

Samsung compatible My Samsung TV works well with this set, but you cannot use Q-Symphony if you do not have a compatible Samsung television. I think this is a shame, because it is a very cool sound experience. I advise you to check whether your television fits this set.
