Description

The JBL Bar 1300 Black is the more extensive version of the JBL Bar 1000. In comparison to the 1000, this soundbar has 6 upfiring speakers which emit even more spatial sound. Dolby Atmos sends the sound from the speakers to the ceiling, and it then bounces to your listening position. This makes it feel like you're playing a part in your favorite movie. The soundbar has 2 detachable speakers that you can use as rear speakers. The included subwoofer strengthens the bass of your audio. Explosions and drums sound lifelike this way. Harman PureVoice optimizes dialogues, so you can always hear these clearly and background noise won't overshadow it. With the built-in voice assistant, you can control the soundbar with your voice.

Perfect for your own cinema room, but less so for the neighb

  • Dolby Atmos
  • Detachable rear speakers
  • Heavy and low bass
  • design could be better

I was allowed to test this product and my opinion is very mixed. There are both positive and negative sides to this product for my situation. I highly recommend this product to people who can turn the sound up loud by default because the bass is already quite loud to say the least. In addition, you have to turn up the system to be able to understand speech properly. You will get a very low and deep bass in return. I find the rear speakers very disappointing for the size. I don't get why these don't get a full sound, since they are even bigger and heavier than the JBL Charge 5, which is also from JBL. You really have to make an effort to hear sounds from the rear speakers, even though I have them turned up to their loudest. There are only 3 positions, this can be expanded. If you can turn up the sound because of the neighbors, then you have a nice dolby atmos experience with thumping bass.

Soundbar with good sound and easy installation

  • Simple configuration via the JBL One app (network, calibration, equalizer, RC, etc.)
  • Wireless subwoofer
  • Separate detachable side speakers that can be used mono or stereo via Bluetooth
  • Speech (news, documentary) sounds very tinny compared to our previous stereo column speakers, a matter of getting used to?

The JBL BAR 1300 is a good surround soundbar that comes into its own in movies, games and music. When listening to news, documentaries, YouTube or talk shows, I find the speech very disappointing. This one sounds very shrill and tinny in my opinion, even distorted at times in my opinion. I tried to adjust this via the equalizer, but unfortunately I was not able to get a really pleasant adjustment. Perhaps a matter of getting used to since the previous 'setup' consisted of two column speakers and a receiver. What I really like about the JBL Bar 1300 is the wireless subwoofer. It adds an extra dimension to the sound and provides a powerful bass that pulls you completely into the movie or game. It's amazing how much difference a good subwoofer can make. This also does not feel dominant at all if properly adjusted via the JBL One app. About this app: Setting up the soundbar was smooth and easy, and you are guided through the calibration process on first use. You can also set the equalizer here and there is a built-in remote control. Software updates (of the soundbar) are automatically updated in the background. The design looks a bit old-fashioned, but that's personal. The option to use the side speakers separately from the main unit is a very nice addition. These can be used alone or in stereo. Ideal for the terrace / balcony in the summer, or if you are doing odd jobs in the garage and need some music. To conclude: the JBL Bar 1300 is a great soundbar in a compact size that does not fall short in its class, but it does have a point of attention, but that should not spoil the fun in general.

Excellent speaker

  • Dolby Atmos 3D
  • Powerful subwoofer
  • Air play
  • Wireless speaker not powerful enough

During the past month I have been able to experience the JBL Bar 1300 intensively. As a discerning consumer, I was looking not only for a system that delivers high-quality sound, but also for a solution that transforms my entire home entertainment experience. The JBL Bar 1300 has done this without a doubt, turning my living room into a sonic paradise that brings both movies and music to life. However, in all honesty there are some negatives that I noticed during daily use. The buttons on the remote control show significant fading after four weeks of intensive use. This has an impact on the aesthetics and functionality of the remote control, which is a point to consider. In addition, the rear speakers seem to lack any definition, which can provide a suboptimal sound experience in some scenarios. The size of the soundbar can also be considered a disadvantage, especially in smaller rooms where space is limited. A final point to consider is that the wireless speakers are not as powerful as hoped, which can impact the overall sound fullness in specific situations. That said, these negatives aren't necessarily dealbreakers, and overall the JBL Bar 1300 remains a powerful addition to my home entertainment system. The pros outweigh the cons, resulting in a mostly positive review of this soundbar.
