Do you have an iPhone or iPad? Effortlessly stream content from your device to your Apple TV. You can also connect this version of the Apple TV to an Ethernet cable. So you can always stream, even with an unstable WiFi connection.

Small and fast device. I have connected my turbo trainer to my Apple TV. Zwift, Fulgaz, Rouvy and other apps work great. A 40-inch screen hangs in front of the Cycletrainer. The bicycle app and Spotify run while cycling.

Always high quality media, regardless of the TV.

Before this I already had an Apple TV HD version, but with the arrival of a 4K TV, the Apple TV also had to be replaced (I thought). The AppleID / iCloud integration made setup a piece of cake. Logging in and all apps and settings came across. I use the ATV to watch (streaming) Video. All known streaming services are available, so I don't have to connect the TV (Google TV OS) to the internet (no commercials on screen and no privacy issues). TV itself is already via an external HDMI signal. A real improvement is the new remote control. An additional advantage is that the device can be moved. You can increase your content anywhere, as long as the TV has an HDMI input (holiday, trip, etc.). With the TV built-in apps, it remains to be seen what is shared with the manufacturer(s) and also how long such apps are maintained. An ATV upgrade is slightly cheaper than buying a new TV. N.B. Sound quality (and Picture quality) is N/A, as this must be controlled by the amplifier / TV.
