Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you race on 48 tracks and use power-ups to make sure you take the lead. With more than 30 to choose from, you can race as your favorite Nintendo character. New in this Mario Kart is the 200cc mode. Make your opponents slip on your banana peels in the new battle mode to make their balloons burst. You can play this game with up to 12 people.

Play together
You play this game together by connecting up to 4 Joy-Con controllers to 1 Nintendo Switch. Each player uses 1 Joy-Con controller and all 4 players use the same TV screen.

Play online
You can also play this game online. Use your online account for the Nintendo Switch and play the online multiplayer game mode with up to 12 players from around the world.

Use a racing wheel
Connect the Joy-Con controllers to a Nintendo Switch Joy-Con steering wheel and steer by making steering movements.

The biggest Mario Kart
This is the biggest Mario Kart yet. Mario, Luigi, Peach, and other heroes from the Super Mario series are joined by old and new acquaintances like King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr. Even the Inklings from Splatoon race around the track.

Select your vehicle
Once you've selected a driver, you can select a vehicle and equip it with tires, a chassis, and a paraglider of your choice before the starting gun is fired.

More tracks
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has more tracks than ever to race on. Take on your opponents on land, the sea, and in the air on 48 spectacular tracks. You can even race across walls and ceilings. All of the tracks and characters from Mario Kart 8 for Wii U are featured in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, including tracks based on The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Excitebike, and more.

Speed levels
You can choose from five different speed classes such as the GP 150cc (Mirror Mode) and the lightning fast GP 200cc. Haven't played Mario Kart before? Then use the steering assist to make sure you stay on the road.

Use items
Make clever use of objects. You can now carry two items at once, which allows for completely new strategies during both races and battles. In addition to familiar items like the banana, the sprint mushroom, and the infamous blue shield, two items from previous Mario Kart games are back. With Boo, you can become invisible and maybe even steal another player's item. The feather allows you to jump to dodge attacks.

The new Battle mode
Battle mode is bigger than ever! You can confront all kinds of things in the revamped battle mode. Stir things up a bit in the classic Balloon Battle, Bob-omb Blast, Coin Runners, and Shine Runners. In Renegade Roundup, you can hunt each other down.

8 levels
There are eight levels in which you can take on your opponents. Blast your friends into the air in classic levels like Luigi's Mansion or stay out of your opponents' hands as you tear through Urchin Underpass from Splatoon.
