Garmin Zumo XT Motor Europa

Use the Garmin mainly for off- and all-road. Am a layman to drive on navigation, but after some reading in the matter this is super easy. In particular, the simplicity of downloading routes or tracks with your smartphone. You can even set the width of the track, making the route even clearer. Thanks to the clear screen, I can still clearly read the screen while sitting or standing on the motorcycle. Have quickly ordered a lock, a protective edge and "armor" glass for better protection and the lock gives a lot more confidence that the device will not bounce off while driving.

Truly a revelation in terms of operation and cooperation with my KLIM Krios Pro helmet. Everything switches and works without errors. (GPS, helmet, mobile phone, coyote, music and co-driver)

Purchased on Thursday evening and delivered on Friday morning: top job! Nice solid packaging as always with Garmin, once the box is open you will see the Zumo XT first. Do you suddenly think: had bought a GPS and no TV .. what a screen! Also in the box are a number of accessories such as a car holder, car charger, “ram-mount”, motorcycle holder and the cables for connecting it to the motorcycle. All decent quality. Connect the device to the PC with the supplied USB cable and complete the installation procedure. Suddenly also performed the pending updates so that everything was correct. Nothing very difficult as long as you follow everything carefully. Installation on the bike was also fairly smooth (requires a bit of expertise), first test rides were also fantastic... except for 1 disadvantage that the glossy screen likes to show fingers (hopefully some kind of protective film available soon) but very clear and even in direct sunlight. You can create and upload routes yourself via your PC, which can be difficult in the beginning, but every beginning is difficult. Thanks to the connection with a smartphone, headset and other you can easily: record a phone call, hear instructions via headset, play music, view the weather forecast, ... but keep an eye on the road. There is also a function that can limit you in actions while the GPS is in motion. Another drawback is that there is no storage bag included... so when you take the Zumo XT off the holder during a break or the like, you don't have to store it in. Nothing bad but for the price I would have liked to have seen it. To get back to the big one, if you put it next to a 590 it's the same size.
