It is MUCH better than the Inventum CBW010 we had before (which stopped working after 11 months and was given full credit by CoolBlue to use towards a new purchase). It is much quieter (even though the Inventum was advertised as much quieter than this one ... which makes me wonder how reliable the noise level descriptions are). You are easily able to have conversations while this is working. It takes 4':47" to boil a full-capacity 1.7L. Obviously faster if you lower the temperature or put less water. The option to choose among 7 different temperature settings is very good (for different types of teas), as well as the option to keep the water at the desired temperature (if you drink mate out of a gourd that needs frequent refilling it is a great alternative to a thermos). Too new to comment on Durability or ease of Maintenance, so disregard those scores (Cool Blue forces me to give a score, even though I've had it for less than a week).

A kettle with adjustable temperature that looks very nice. Unfortunately, the kettle is quite heavy and therefore difficult to handle. The spout does not pour conveniently, it sloshes a lot, especially when the water is still boiling. And the most common design flaw in kettles also has this: the display window for the amount is behind the handle and is therefore barely visible.

When you press the on/off button and it turns red, it starts cooking. When green, it is ready (you will also hear a beep). If you take the kettle off and put it back later, you have to press the on/off button again (so that it is no longer red) otherwise the kettle will turn on again. This is not the case with a 'standard' kettle and we must therefore always explain this to visitors. If you want the water to remain warm after boiling, you must also press the right keep warm button when switching on the kettle (so that it is red). As soon as the kettle is ready, it will switch on again after a while to keep the water warm.
