According to our gearbox shifter for racing wheels expert
Turn it up a notch with the Logitech Driving Force Shifter. This gear stick is especially made for the Logitech G29 Driving Force and the Logitech G920 Driving Force and makes racing even more realistic. It has an H-pattern with 6 gears. The reverse gear is locked, which means you can only use it when you push down. In addition, you can also use this gear stick for the Logitech G923.

The logitech G29 without this poker is unthinkable for me, it is more than worth the investment to switch from flippers to this beautiful thing. Admittedly, it could have been a little bigger and a little more physical power behind the shifting would have completed the experience. (My father has only ever driven a real car and he almost pulled it off the table so much force he was used to putting.)

When you buy a steering wheel like the G29, you expect as much realism as possible from your racing games. This makes this H-shifter an indispensable accessory. As known from previous logitech models, the shifter is of good quality. It's really made to be "abused" for hours on end without even breaking anything! The only downside in my opinion is still that there is little feedback in the shifter. It just shifts way too lightly. A bigger annoyance has nothing to do with the shifter itself, but with Logitech's way of working these days. With the G25 and G27 you just got the shifter in your package, here you have to buy it separately, making the total package a lot more expensive. In addition, the shifter is not even improved compared to its predecessors. On the contrary. The G25 had a button with which you could switch it to a sequential shifter, this has been lost with the G27, but it had some extra buttons that were useful in-game. So the bottom line is that Logitech asks more and more while you get less in return.

This shifter is my very first shifter and so experiences are based on just this shifter. I bought this shifter half a year after the G920. I also wanted to add an extra dimension to ETS2. Steering with a 1080 degree steering wheel is already an improvement, but switching gears is also more fun than switching sequentially with the paddles behind the steering wheel. The build quality is good, the leather feels real and the poker looks realistic. For some people the shifting might be too light, but I don't have that much of a problem with that. Unfortunately, my desk is slanted and therefore I can not properly mount the poker and steering wheel on my desk (see photo). So I added a doorstop to the screw and it sits on rubber. The confirmation would be perfect for another agency. A large screw on the back and two clamps (identical to the steering wheel) on the front. Switching to reverse gear is not always ideal, because you have to press it quite hard, which can cause the lever to come loose. Installation is very easy, just add 1 cable to the handlebar and you're ready to go. (also clearly stated in the installation instructions) Setting up ETS2 is extremely easy via the input wizard and then you can go on your way. All in all a good steering wheel for relatively little money.
