Magimix CS 5200 XL Premium Chrome

I have long researched between Magimix and the Kenwood models in the same price range. Since the Kenwoods can still fit a separate blender cup and contain a small grinder for spices, I still had to consider whether the lack of those extras with the Magimix was compensated by other features. Since I regularly want to make nut butters and therefore have to be able to run the motor continuously for a while, I opted for the magimix with a 30-year warranty on the motor. That gives confidence and was the deciding factor. I have used it every day since I received the machine for a variety of preparations and I really like it. Even softer tomatoes are still beautifully sliced with the slicing disc, for example, and the large feed tube is super handy to load in 1 go with a handful of large pieces of vegetables or fruit. Making smoothies with the blender mix attachment and the recipes from the supplied book also works perfectly. I have also made almond paste. 250 grams of unroasted almonds with skin were ready within 15-20 minutes in the large bowl, depending on how liquid you want the paste. Whether slicing vegetables is ultimately much faster with a food processor than with a knife and cutting board depends on how much cutting you have to do, because it does produce more dishes than a knife and cutting board and the dishes also take time. However, the machine cuts undeniably finer, thinner and more consistently than I could with a knife and mixes of ingredients are mixed much better. I wouldn't want to miss the machine anymore. Above all, the machine opens up a new world of applications and does what it promises without any problems.

I am very happy with my purchase! I was looking for a versatile, powerful chopper to mainly make vegan burgers, humous, tapenades and to make cutting work easier. The Megamix does this effortlessly. After searching for weeks, I chose this machine mainly for its quiet motor, 30-year warranty and because the accessories don't take up too much space in my closet. I also thought it was important that you could buy separate parts, set your knife or your shell will break. The 3 different scales are very useful especially if you don't want to make too much. On the other hand, if you use the small bowl, it almost always happens that the medium bowl also gets a bit dirty… That's a shame, of course. Because my dishwasher does not have a 40-degree program, I also wash everything by hand every time. It is a small effort; everything washes off very easily. All in all, there is no perfect food processor (unfortunately!!!!) the Magimix is definitely a good choice, I am very happy with it!

I've only used the slice and grate function and it worked fine, so I no longer have to grate my pancakes for pancakes by hand and that saves a lot of time.
