We create quite a bit of waste with our family and with our old round garbage can it often became a mess. Especially if you wanted to throw food scraps in it. So it was time for a more practical container. We have chosen the largest version of the Bo pedal bin (60l). There was also a touch bin version (with cool feet) but we find it easier to open with the foot.
The box itself looks stylish. We have chosen the beautiful glossy white variant because it fits nicely in our kitchen. As you can see in the photos, there are plenty of bright and not bright colors to choose from. The material does not feel very sturdy. Admittedly, you won't climb on a garbage can and it won't fall over easily because of the shape, but I've felt that the metal leaves dents easily if you try a little. There are handles on the sides with which you can move the bin.
On the inside we have a 60l inner container. For the fanatics in waste separation, you also have other variants available. I saw that there is also a 2x 30l version available. I don't know if you can replace the types of liners at a later stage if you want to switch anyway.
Opening the lid with the pedal works fine. It can be a bit heavy for small children because it is a large lid. There is a slide on the inside with which you can leave the lid open, which is very handy.
In terms of size, it is a very large garbage can. After a few weeks of use, that feeling still hits me. An advantage of this is that we have to replace the bags less often. I think these bags have a special size, so you have to purchase them from Brabantiqa yourself. At about €0.33 per garbage bag, they are not the cheapest, but they fit just fine. Because it is a rectangular container, you can store it nicely against the wall compared to the round variants.
All in all we are very happy with this tank. We can store a lot of waste in it and the bin would not look out of place in the kitchen. The Bo pedal bin is worth considering.
