Denon Home Soundbar 550

The Denon Home Soundbar 550 is a good soundbar with enough power for a TV in the living room or bedroom. Connection to the soundbar is reliable and very easy to establish via Bluetooth or AirPlay. You also never have to turn on the soundbar before you want to connect to it, which makes it easy to use. As someone who attaches great importance to sound with both music and TV, I am very satisfied with the sound quality of this soundbar. The highs, mids and lows just sound good. The bass and treble can of course be adjusted yourself and this also sounds downright good. However, I can strongly recommend buying this soundbar with the available additional speakers to create a surround sound. The soundbar itself is good, just not exceptional. With additional speakers, this soundbar will fit very well in your bedroom or living room, the sound is expected to be complete. I myself have not had these speakers. Finally, the soundbar sometimes needs a moment when you just turn on the TV or switch between music via Airplay/Bluetooth. After about 5-10 seconds you will have sound. The soundbar is not long, but slightly higher than other soundbars, keep this in mind if the TV is not too high from the TV cabinet. The soundbar does not make any noise when not in use, I find this very important since I am somewhat sensitive to high beeps that you sometimes have with sound systems that are 'off'.

Received the Denon Home 550 soundbar and unpacked it immediately. Connecting was no problem because all necessary cables are included in the box. Connect the soundbar to the television quickly and easily via the HDMI (ARC) cable. With the HEOS application, the speaker can easily be connected to the WiFi and updated to the latest software version. This soundbar looks nice. The top prevents reflection and in the middle is a smart display with a proximity sensor. As soon as I move my hand towards it, the screen lights up. The sound of the Denon home 550 is good and can be adjusted to taste. This can be done quickly via the self-configured quick buttons on the remote control, there are three in total. Or expanded via the application. The soundbar also has a dialogue improvement and a night mode. Despite the fact that the sound is good, it remains a soundbar. For an optimal surround experience, I would also connect two rear speakers. Especially in larger rooms.
