The Boya BY-BM3031 Supercardioid Shotgun Microphone is a shotgun microphone for SLR cameras, camcorders, and audio recorders. The microphone has a switch with 3 levels. This prevents audio overload while you're making video recordings. Thanks to a high-pass filter that you can set to 80Hz, the microphone blocks unwanted white noise and distracting sounds. The integrated shock absorber allows you to record sound with minimal vibrations and background noises. These specifications ensure clear sound in your video recordings. In addition, the included windshield and windscreen minimize wind noise if you're filming an interview outdoors. You can easily connect the lightweight microphone to any camera that has a 3.5mm connector. The microphone runs on AA batteries and has a recording time of up to 120 hours.

With the Rode VideoMic Go I always heard a noise in my videos, with this Boya I didn't have that at all. I'm actually surprised that there aren't any reviews about this yet, because it's a really good microphone. Bought on the recommendation of one of the Coolblue toppers and only a few euros more expensive than the popular Rode microphone! Only thing is the batteries, I'm very forgetful so you really have to think about turning your microphone off again and checking if you need to change the batteries. But that's a matter of getting used to it and then that shouldn't be a problem.
