Description
You can use the Hitachi-LG Slim Portable Blue-ray Writer BP55EB40.AHLE10B to play and burn Blue-rays if your PC or laptop doesn't have a DVD player. Because you connect the Blu-ray player via USB-A, you can use this LG with almost any computer or laptop. The write speed is 8 times so it's just as fast as an integrated DVD player. This way, you won't needlessly lose speed while you read or write a CD or Blue-ray via this LG. The DVD player is suitable for Windows.

Very excellent burner for my Mac. Does what it does and can watch Blu Ray movies, check my photos and even play games very easily! All in all a good buy!

handy, portable drive that reads and writes CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays. Good quality and software, especially for the price. Now used to play various region-A Blu-rays (why are there still regions, sigh), good sound and picture quality transfer. Also extremely suitable for digitizing your (music) collection.

Fine for Windows users, but a lot less so for Mac OS. You can play DVDs under Mac OS, but that's where the functionality ends. Included burning program only suitable for Windows. BD playback is only possible with a third party player. It is a pity that this is not mentioned in the product description.
