According to our studio speaker expert
The Adam T7V is a 7-inch studio monitor for novice producers. You won't need an amplifier, since it's an active monitor speaker. Connect the speaker directly to your sound card or computer and get started. Thanks to the XLR connector, you'll ensure a balanced connection and prevent the cable from picking up white noise. That way, you won't hear any white noise, and you can make informed decisions about high-frequency sounds. Thanks to the ribbon tweeter, you can hear a lot of detail in middle and high frequencies. The detailed reproduction lets you hear exactly where you have to remove frequencies and where there's still room left in the mix.

Better sound than expected, and look great on my desk. Bass isn't too strong, but you shouldn't expect that either. Then get a sub. Gives a good honest sound.

for the last 20 years I also run studio speakers to just listen to music. I have had several sets, including from krk kipch jbl etc, but have never been so satisfied with cheap out 9f the box speakers as with the Adam T7v's, the sound is really super tight and full. The bass is certainly not missing, no sub needed at the moment. I should have made the switch from krk much earlier, what a difference! The tweeter is also so fine noise-free and pure ❤️ definitely recommended
