The Boya BY-MM1 is a shotgun directional microphone that lets you improve the audio recordings of videos. You can connect the microphone to a camera or smartphone via the included TRS cable with 3.5mm jack. What a difference in sound when you record with this instead of the standard microphone. Feels good, looks good and comes with a handy bag to store everything. Look out; you have to mount this microphone on something. Laying loose on the table is not going so well, he falls over. It would be great to include a standard holder.

Great quality microphone for this price. The sound now comes in much clearer and with the included windshield. there is little to no wind interference when you are outside. The microphone has great quality for almost half the price of the Rode equivalent. The sound is also much better than with the built-in microphone in the camera. Use this microphone on a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. Delivery was as usual with Coolblue within 1 day. Great service from Coolblue.

Have been using it for a while now and the value for money is great. Sure, you can buy more expensive microphones and that might increase the quality a bit, but for the regular home/garden/kitchen vlogger this is just excellent!
